Spacers only apply to ticker Play Lists.
A Spacer is a text or image content item that is created by a user and that is selected to “Repeat as Spacer” between two content items. A Spacer content item – whether it is a text or image Spacer – is repeated between all other content items in a ticker Play List. It will repeat between content items until and unless another Spacer has been inserted.
Examples of items commonly used as Spacers:
- Company logos (ABC company logo in bitmap format)
- Company names (e.g., ABC Company)
- Symbols (e.g., )
- Phrases (e.g., Welcome to ABC Company)
When used, they appear in a Play List as shown in the example below:

How it displays in a ticker Play List:
The Spacer appears only once in the Play List Items table and the Spacer column for the item displays “Yes”. It can appear in any position within the Play List. The position within the Play List will not affect when or how it is displayed in conjunction with the other items in the Play List.
How it works:
Even though the Spacer item appears only once in the Play List Items list, it will appear between each content item in the list as follows:
| Play List Item | Content Displayed |
|---|---|
| Text | Welcome to our trading floor |
| Spacer | |
