You add, format, and schedule the news headlines you want to add to a ticker Play List on the Manage Play List Ticker News page.

1. On the Add Live Data page, click News Headlines. The Manage Play List Ticker News page will display. 
2. In the Name field, type a name to describe this content item (e.g., Entertainment News). The default is “News Headlines”.
3. In the Play Sequence field, type the position you want this item to have in the sequence of Play List Items. If this is the first item to be added to the Play List, this field will display “1 of 0″. If there are already a number of content items contained in the Play List, this item will appear as the next in the list, i.e., “9 of 8″ meaning there are currently 8 content items and this will be the 9th.
4. In the Category section, click to select the category, or categories, of news to display as part of this content item. The default is “ALL News“. To select a specific category, click Selected, then click the box beside each news category you want.
5. In the Layout field, click Select to access the Select Content Element Layout page.
6. On the Select Content Element Layout page, click the Select button associated with the layout design you want to use to present the news headlines you selected. Once selected, the Layout field on the Manage Play List Ticker News page will be automatically populated with your selection.
7. (Optional) By default Play List Items is setup to be indented 5 pixels to the right of the previous Play List item. If there is no indent specified, i.e., the Indent field is “0″, this Play List Item will display beginning at the first available pixel after the previous Play List Item making it difficult for a viewer to discern between the two items. To change the size of the indent, type a new value in the Indent field.
8. By default, all new Play List Items are scheduled to display 24/7 (24 hours/day, 7 days/week, beginning the date the Play List is approved, or if the Play List is approved, the date the content item is created). To create a specific display schedule for this content item, click Use Schedule to display the scheduling options, then specify a schedule for the item.
9. Click Save or Save & Close.

NOTE:

• A news Play List Item will display 10 news headlines for each category selected – e.g., if All News is selected, then the top 10 news headlines within the U.S. Entertainment category and the top 10 news headlines within the U.S. Sports category, and the top 10 news headlines within the U.S. Top News category will be displayed as part of this Play List Item.
