Example of the procedure to create a tri color logo
(NOTE: Click on an image below to view it full size)
1. As a starting point, open a graphic of the logo you want to build in Adobe Photoshop (e.g., .jpg, .gif, .png) |
2. Crop out any unnecessary areas (e.g, white space), then from the Image menu, select Image Size and change the image height to 24 pixels.
3. From the Image menu, select Mode, then select Indexed Color and use the default settings which do not narrow the colors down.
4. From the Image menu, select Mode, then select Color Table. The color table displays all the colors within the current color palette. In the color table click on an empty square to add each of the colors you want to use for the logo to the color palette.
5. Use the pencil tool, magic wand, paint bucket, or any other tool of your choice to color the logo. Be sure to create crisp edges and to fill every pixel of the logo with a color.
| 6. Save the new logo as a .bmp using 8 bit color mode. |
| 7. Upload the saved image to your Media Library for use in a ticker Play List. |
