The Rise Display Network Appliance (RDNA) service is the service that runs on an Appliance to start Rise Player, Rise Data Collector, and Rise Data Provider and to authenticate to the Rise Display Network servers.
This service appears in the Windows Services console on the Appliance. It is possible to stop and start this service whenever necessary. For example, you would stop and restart this service if you wanted a Presentation to update immediately on an Appliance, to start downloading some content, or switch to a different Presentation. You stop and restart the service in the Windows Services console of the Appliance.
NOTE: Starting and stopping the service will temporarily show the desktop of the Appliance on the display, so the restarting of the service should only be used when appropriate.
To restart the RDNA service manually:
- Using a keyboard either attached directly or remotely to the Appliance, press Ctrl + Shift + F11.
- Click Start > Run.
- In the Open field, type Services.msc, then click OK.
- In the Services dialog, scroll down to and click on the service named Rise Display Network Appliance Service.
- Once the service is highlighted, the options to “Stop” or “Restart” the service will display. Click Restart. Once restarted, the assigned presentation will start playing, and any content that has not been downloaded and cached on the appliance will begin downloading.
