December 10th, 2009
If TV is not showing in your Presentation there may be a number of reasons that are causing the issue. Here are some steps you can take to help you determine the cause of the issue.
STEP 1: Verify that the TV Tuner card installed on the Appliance is supported
Click here for a list of TV Tuner cards supported.
STEP 2: Verify the TV Tuner card and TV Profile selected are correct
Verify that the TV Tuner card you selected in the Display Network software is the same as the one you installed on the Appliance and verify that the TV Tuner Profile you selected in the Display Network software matches the type of connection actually used to connect the TV signal to the Appliance (e.g., coaxial cable, composite video, S-video).
- On the Displays tab, click Appliances.
- Click on the name of the Appliance you want in the Appliance Name column. The Manage Appliance page displays.
- Click the Settings link.
- In the TV Tuner field, verify that the TV Tuner card selected matches the card installed on the Appliance.
- In the TV Profile field, verify that the profile selected matches the type of connection actually used to connect the TV signal to the Appliance.
- Save any changes made.
STEP 3: Run the TV Config.exe on the Appliance to diagnose the error
The TV Config.exe application is found on the Appliance.
1. If a Presentation is currently running on the Appliance stop it by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+F10.
2. Locate the TV Config.exe at C:\Program Files\Rise Softools\Rise Vision Enterprise.
3. Double click the TV Config.exe to run it. When launched, the Rise TV Utility window displays. The Video Capture Device column (the center column) displays devices found in black (those installed on the Appliance) and devices not found in red (those not installed on the Appliance).

Once the Update is installed, start over at STEP 1: Verify that the TV Tuner card installed on the Appliance is supported to test if it worked. |
5. Click the TV Tuner Properties button. The Properties dialog displays.

9. In the Output section, click to select the video outut you are using.
10. Click OK.

12. If the error "Unable to preview graph" displays, this means either another program is using the TV Tuner card or no TV signal is available. Close all unnecessary programs and click the Show Preview button again.
